Bounty at Bresca

Washington D.C. can often invite thoughts of backroom deals over whiskey and wine and business attire with new balance sneakers, but the times they are a-changing. Popular 14th street has a gem with some definite staying power. Opened in 2017, this french-fusion-avant garde delice is constantly buzzing, like their famous cocktail: the 'bees knees', presented in a beehive shaped vessel.

The Good

The waitstaff is amazing. Tiffany in particular, but really the entire crew, made us feel like royalty.

The honey lacquered duck with duck fat brioche donuts will put you into a happy food coma. And if they don’t, you can always add foie gras.

The Bad

For such a sexy locale, it was surprising how bright the room was. Maybe it’s just that as New Yorkers we're used to not being able to see our food in restaurants.

The Ugly

We don’t know when we’ll be back in DC, but until then we’ll have to just daydream of that smoked paprika papardelle.
